The House Hotel

Cat lovers will immediately feel at home in this pleasant hotel near Spanish Arch, with cat motifs everywhere and a brochure image of a chilled out ginger enjoying the best sofa, it’s easy to see that this smart establishment is homely at heart. But you don’t have to be feline-friendly to appreciate the excellent facilities and many thoughtful touches which aim to make this your Galway ‘home away from home’.

Even the names of the public areas are a reminder of this aim - The Parlour Bar & Grill; The Relax Lounge; The Den and, like home, the furniture doesn’t all match. Although styled ‘boutique’ - and all rooms are individually designed - this Galway hoteis bigger than it seems.

With a range of accommodation options including comfy, classy and four suites overlooking Galway harbour; all have a high comfort factor including triple glazed windows, air conditioning, mini-bar, LCD TV (with on demand movies, music and internet), laptop safe, complimentary broadband and bathrobe & slippers - even a complimentary hotel umbrella.

All have smart en-suite bathrooms too, although about half have shower only (with rain dance shower head to compensate for lack of a good soak).

There’s free internet access throughout the hotel, and other services include in-room spa treatments by Absolute Spa, and same day laundry and dry cleaning service - just like home really.

Rooms 40; B&B €75pps. Lift, 24 hr room service; children welcome (cots available free of charge, baby sitting arranged); Closed 25-26 Dec. Amex, MasterCard, Visa, Laser.
