They research, locate, preserve and use traditional varieties, cultivars of fruit, vegetables, potatoes and grains. Visitors are welcome to this fascinating place (Mon-Sat 9.30-5, Sun 12.30-5; “wet weather gear and good walking shoes are advisable so that you can walk around the gardens and orchards in comfort”) and guided tours are available for groups on request; workshops on various subjects around Organic Gardening and Sustainable Living themes run throughout the year.
