This fine old pub just off the Tralee-Dingle road has been in the family for 200 years and the present owners Rory and Gertie Duffin, intend to keep things pretty much the way they've been, at least in the recent past.
It's a delightful place, full of genuine character and hospitality - ideal for a drink and a chat. Even when very busy staff do their best to deliver prompt service, even accommodating special requests without fuss.
Bar lunch dishes include a good home-made chowder (good value too at about EUR4.95) and main dishes like sirloin steak with pepper sauce (about EUR15.95), while evening menus offer popular dishes with more sense of occasion like crispy duck with orange & plum sauce.
Closed 25 Dec & Good Fri. Phone ahead to check opening times, especially off season.
Directions:
On the main Tralee-Dingle road, 10 miles from Tralee.
