The Maples House Hotel

Conveniently located near the Botanic Gardens and Dublin City University, this neat double-fronted Victorian redbrick hotel is well lit, with flags to help you find it in a largely residential street.

Although by no means a smart boutique or designer hotel, it offers the kind of reliability and comfort that is welcome in a suburban setting. Cosy fires (log effect, but still cheering) and a relaxed atmosphere, plus the spacious bar and rather attractive ground floor restaurant all make the visitor feel welcome.

Accommodation is spotlessly clean and comfortable, and rooms have not only the traditional facilities of tea and coffee making equipment and hair dryer, but also flat screen televisions and the computer connections that today's traveller requires. All bedrooms have a neat en suite shower room, and the area is generally quiet, so you should be sure of a good night's sleep.

The large hotel bar attracts non-residents and the restaurant, complete with fire, serves modern Irish food in a most pleasant setting, with white linen and modern crockery and glassware, plus a decent wine list and attentive service from pleasant staff, makes a meal here a relaxing experience.
