Efficient reception by smiling staff gets guests off to a good start at this smart and consistently popular restaurant in Douglas village. The aim is to provide traditional Thai cuisine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and several menus offer wide range of dishes, including all the popular Thai dishes - house specialities include hot & sour prawn soup - but also some lesser-known dishes.
Everything is freshly cooked, without any artificial flavourings or MSG and, although the flavours typical of Thai cuisine - coriander, lime, chilli, saltiness - seem to have been tamed somewhat, authentic dishes always meet with approval.
A simple dessert selection includes exotic Thai fruit salad for a refreshing finish.
An informative fairly priced wine list deserves investigation (a gewurtztraminer partners Thai food exceptionally well, for example); imported Thai beers are also available.
