The Lo family’s city centre Belfast restaurants located just off Shaftesbury Square has earned widespread recognition as one of Ireland’s most authentic Chinese restaurants and, as it became more famous, it became almost impossible to get a table so they moved to bigger premises across the road.
Old hands may miss the squeeze, but what you still get here is the classic Chinese dishes which are already familiar - but created in uncompromising Chinese style, without the usual “blanding down” typical of most oriental restaurants in Ireland.
They also offer more unusual dishes, which offer a genuine challenge to the jaded western palate: be prepared to be adventurous.
