This smart designer bar brings some welcome style to Blackrock village with its cool walnut woodwork, cube seats, cream leather banquettes and artwork for sale on exhibition - all of which, plus a big screen upstairs, have made it the in place for the trendy young crowd.

Informal menus are offered through the day - brunch, daytime and evening bistro - and there's a patio area for al fresco dining in fine weather; however, perhaps it's more a place to drop into for a drink in stylish surroundings.

Seats 100; toilets wheelchair accessible. Open 12am-12pm; food served all day 12-9pm, L11-3, D 4-9. Closed 25 Dec & Good Fri. Amex, MasterCard, Visa, Laser. abbreviations

Eat & Stay establishments are chosen for their commitment to showcasing local produce and Irish hospitality.

Formerly the famous Youkstetter’s pork butcher shop, this handsome tiled shopfront with dark green paintwork, matching awning and outside seating, is now home to Aidan and Karen McNeice’s popular deli and café/restaurant, The Cheese Pantry. With its c ...
