Whatever your reason for visiting – music, good food and drink, or all three – you’ll find pleasure in abundance at Peter Curtin's historic and hospitable hostelry and its related businesses.

Seats 56 (+outdoors). Food: Tue-Sun 1pm-8.30pm (may vary; weekends only in winter); a la carte. Wines from c.€25; craft beers (The Burren Brewery Collection). Brewery tours/tastings. Live music. Events (Storehouse, max 400 standing). Wheelchair accessible (except brewery). Closed Nov-Mar.

This historic hostelry came under the management of well-known chef Peter Jackson in 2022 - and, with the mantra ‘If you can eat it here at The Roadside you can visit where it comes from locally’, its future as a Burren dining destination is assured. Expect the very best of local produce including fresh seafood, smoked fish from the nearby Burren Smokehouse, St. Tola Goats cheese, Flaggy Shore Oysters and Wild Atlantic Wagyu Beef – and beers produced on-site The Burren Brewery. Next door, The Storehouse is a multipurpose venue - all round this is the hub of activities in Lisdoonvarna.
