Spearmans Bakery and Tearoom

A charming old-style place to take a break
Seats 25. Wheelchair accessible. Open Mon-Sat, 8.30am-5pm. Closed Sun. abbreviations

On a slip road at the top of the main street, just off the busy thoroughfare, siblings Elaine and JD Spearman's bakery and tea room is a charming old-style place to take a break for a bite to eat and 'freshly ground coffee or a grand cup of tea'.

It has all the friendliness and bustle that you'd expect of a place that's been in business and at the heart of the local community since 1901. They do light lunches like soup and sandwiches, quiches and hot specials, with a wide range of sweet treats to follow.

All their confectionery and breads and scones are freshly made on the premises every day - everything from tradtional brown soda bread and scones to cupcakes and sponge cakes, gateaux and fruit tarts, with some items available gluten-free.

And while you are at it, this is just the place to buy some delicious home-bakes to take home.
