Thomas and Regina Coyle restored this large Victorian house with the greatest attention to period detail and guests have the opportunity to drink in the atmosphere on arrival while having a cup of tea in the little book-lined library, where the old parish safe is still set in the wall.
Bedrooms vary, as is the way in old houses, but they are all beautifully furnished with antiques, and snowy white bedlinen - and a robe is provided in case of night-time forays along the corridor (one bathroom is private, but not en-suite).
A delicious breakfast, including freshly baked breads warm from the oven, is taken communally at a long polished table.
This beautiful house is most unusual, notably because Thomas Coyle specialises in restoring old buildings and is a collector by nature - much of his collection finds a place in the house.
