Salthill Hotel

Fronted by pleasant gardens and an outdoor terraced area, this large hotel's major USP is its spectacular views over Galway Bay and the hills of Clare – and indeed it would be the ideal spot to watch ‘the sun go down’.
Conference/Banqueting 700/450. Rooms 161; from about €70 room only. Free wifi. Ocean Fitness Leisure Centre open to non-residents; 25-metre pool, steam room, sauna and whirlpool. Spacious gym and elite training area. Parking. Mastercard, Visa. abbreviations

In a great location on the promenade, this fine Salthill hotel has uninterrupted views over Galway Bay and the West Clare hills - and, as arriving guests find in its pleasant and spacious foyer, the interior of this large modern property is equally impressive.

Accommodation offers a good mix of king, double and twin rooms for leisure and business travellers, and families are well looked after with a number of triple rooms and family rooms in the mix. Most rooms have either sea views or courtyard views.

All are bright and spacious, with all the necessary facilities, and many have a dedicated work space. Bathrooms are a generous size, many with separate shower and bath and with twin wash basins. Facilities in the Ocean Fitness Leisure Centre, including a 25-metre pool, are complimentary to guests.

Food is available daily in the Prom and Amber Room restaurants, and theBlackrock Bar.

A good base for anyone visiting the West Galway area and the Wild Atlantic Way, with all the city’s facilities just a short distance away.
