Formerly famed as Eithna's by the Sea, this atmospheric harbourside seafood café has been a favourite summer destination for seafood lovers for many years when it was run by Eithna O’Sullivan - and you certainly can’t miss it, as it’s there big and bold hand painted in wonderful vibrant sea blues.
Then Eithna retired and along came Jerome Danois and Jennifer Boulet, who have been doing a wonderful job at this iconic spot since 2024.
The style is simple as befits a cafe, but menus are a bit different from other places and Jerome is a terrific chef. Every dish is full of flavour and has tthat fresh-from-the sea zing to it - and there are treats to come too, as desserts feature some of the most delicious French classics, which - along with excellent coffee - make for an unexpectedly luxurious ending to a meal here.
Jennifer and her team provide great service too - no wonder this is one of the area's top go-to places.
