Win a Short Break for Two at Hanoras Cottage

Hanora’s The Wall family’s charming country guesthouse is in the beautiful Nire Valley in West Waterford, between Clonmel and Dungarvan, and it is a very special place. Whether for foot-weary walkers or desk-weary city folk in need of clear country air, it makes a wonderful away-from-it-all adult-only destination where genuine hospitality is matched by thoughtfully comfortable accommodation and good food.

Mary Wall and her late husband Seamus came here in 1967, to live beside the church in the riverside cottage that was built by Seamus’s great grandparents - and today, many extensions later, Mary still welcomes guests to Hanora’s with her son Eoin and his wife Judith, who are both Euro-Toques chefs and keen supporters of small local food producers.

They love introducing guests to local foods on their evening menus in the restaurant - and also (amongst an astonishing range of foods from Ireland and abroad), at the legendary Hanora’s breakfast which sets everyone up for the outdoor activities, especially walking, that bring people to this beautiful and unspoilt place. There’s a guided walking service on Saturdays, or other days by arrangement, with maps, packed lunch and walking sticks provided for walkers - and a good dinner to return to, of course. Magic.

The lucky winner of this free competition will have a short break for two people sharing (subject to availability), to include:

•   Welcome refreshments on arrival
•   2 nights luxurious accommodation
•   Full Irish breakfast each morning
•   Dinner on the evening of your choice
•   Packed lunch each day
