This 150-year-old bar and grocery is a characterful and delightfully friendly place, whether you are just in for a casual drink or a relaxed evening out.
The Levis sisters, Julia and Nell, ran this 150-year-old bar and grocery for as long as anyone can remember. Although both have now died, younger members of the family have stepped into their legendary shoes and, while the experience is certainly rather different, it is still welcoming visitors as hospitably as ever.
Traditional music sessions have always been held here and the grand nephew of Nell and Julia, Joe O'Leary, is a musician who plays the part of publican very well. He values the tradition that goes with the pub and is bringing a new life to the building with his musical connections and experience running festivals and events.
This is attracting appreciative young people, so Levis remains a characterful and delightfully friendly place where all are welcome, whether you are just in for a casual drink or a relaxed evening out.
Closed 25 Dec & Good Fri
