Achill Cliff House Hotel

The McNamaras' purpose-built, family-run hotel presents a neat face to the world. There's a welcoming turf fire in the lobby and the old and the new combine very pleasantly here, to provide both comfortable accommodation with modern conveniences, and the traditional hospitality that the island is renowned for - and there's plenty of advice on hand to make sure that visitors get the best from their stay. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with orthopaedic beds as well as television, phones, tea/coffee trays and trouser press - and all have a full bath, for a good soak after an energetic day out. The restaurant, which specialises in seafood, is open to non-residents by reservation.
