Angler's Rest
Golf, fishing, walking and cycling are among the pursuits that attract visitors to this lovely lakeland area and Francis McGoldrick's characterful pub makes a welcoming and moderately priced base for a relaxing stay.
The premises have been greatly extended recently but the philosophy remains the same: staff are hospitable, the bar has spirit and accommodation is both comfortable and reasonably priced - a real inn, in fact.
There's a pleasantly informal restaurant and the proprietors are also the chefs, so you should be sure of consistency in the kitchen.
Live music some evenings (inquire for further details.)
