Overlooking Lough Swilly, and set in its own grounds on the edge of the heritage town of Ramelton, Anne Campbell’s mid-nineteenth century house is well-located for touring Donegal and Glenveagh National Park.
It is not too grand and has the comfortable atmosphere of a family home - the drawing room and dining room are both furnished with antiques and have open fires, making this a very warm and comfortable place to return to after a day out.
Individually decorated bedrooms with views over the lough or nearby hills all have their own character and are charmingly furnished (Anne is very handy with a sewing machine and time available in the winter is well used for guests’ comfort).
No dinners, but Anne can recommend pubs and restaurants nearby.
Rooms 5 (4 en-suite with shower, 1 twin has private bathroom, all no smoking, 1 family room); children welcome (under 2s free in parents' room, cots available free of charge, baby sitting arranged). B&B €40 pps, ss €10. Garden, tennis; free broadband wi/fi. No pets. *Self-catering also available in the 'Old Stables'; details on request. Closed Oct-Easter. MasterCard, Visa.
Directions:
