Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Waterville Championship Golf Course, Mary Clifford’s family-run custom-built guesthouse lays the emphasis on comfort and personal service and, although it may initially seem a little stark from the road, it’s all change as you turn into the drive and see the house properly, set in an attractive garden.
The setting is peaceful and colourful and there’s a little river that runs along the length of the garden, making an attractive feature.
The spacious en-suite bedrooms are very comfortable and have all the necessary amenities; twin, double and triple rooms are all available, some with seating areas, all with direct dial phone, TV, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities and most with lovely views over the bay - so book a room with a view of the sea if possible.
And, as Mary is keen to point out, there’s more to Waterville than golf - hill walking, watersports, angling and horse riding are all nearby.
