Coopers Restaurant

Situated near Leeson Street Bridge in an attractive old cut-stone coach house, this restaurant offers a lot of the old favourites. Prawns pil pil, Caesar salad and beef tomato & mozzarella salad are typical starters, for example, and you may expect steaks various ways, lamb cutlets, a fish dish of the day and a vegetarian pasta dish.

The restaurant is on two levels and, although the decor might not win any prizes, the natural stone walls and the character of the building give it a pleasing atmosphere for enjoying their mid-range food.

In summer, especially, it is a place worth knowing about for the outdoor seating, which is comfortably set up with plants around and an awning to protect diners from extremes of weather; a pleasant spot to enjoy the light lunch menu (€15), perhaps, or the early evening menu (from €20).

Toilets & public areas wheelchair accessible. Seats 130 (outdoors, 30, private room up to 80); children welcome; L Mon-Fri, 12-3, Set L €18.50/€22.50 2/3 course; D Mon-Sat, 5.30- "late," early D €20/24.50, 5.30-7; set D 37.95; also a la carte L&D; house wine €19.50; 10% SC on groups 8+.
