Violet & Richard Connell's remarkable roadside farmhouse in the hills behind Goleen is immaculate. It is beautifully furnished, with country pine and antiques, brass and iron beds in en-suite bedrooms (that are all individually decorated) and with all sorts of thoughtful little details to surprise and delight.
Richard is a magic man when it comes to building - his work around the house includes a lovely conservatory dining room, finished with great attention to detail. For her part, Violet loves cooking, and provides guests with a great choice at breakfast - juices, fruit compotes, organic yoghurts and local honey, local kippers and much more.
Violet's idea of a 'standard Irish breakfast' is Caherbeg free range bacon & sausages and Clonakilty black & white pudding with tomato and egg, and you can have lots of other cooked treats too, including scrambled egg and smoked salmon.
