George Hotel

This new boutique hotel is right in the heart of Limerick's commercial and shopping centre, and makes a very convenient meeting place.

It is a warm and welcoming place in a relaxed modern style, and a pleasant bar off the lobby has plenty of sofas and easy chairs as well as bar seating and makes a good place to meet friends when shopping, or sit and read the papers between meetings.

Stylish contemporary bedrooms have some nice touches including Egyptian cotton sheets, 26-inch flat screen TV, and tea & coffee facilities offering choice of teas and coffee. There are no leisure facilties on site but guests have concessional use of the nearby Quay Fitness leisure club, pool and gym at adjacent Howley's Quay.

The first floor restaurant is casual, looking on to the busy street below and has a realxed atmosphere; while there are no surprises on the menu (bruschetta, chicken Ceasar, lamb shank are all typical), it offers very acceptable food and pleasant service.
