Goya's
If only for a cup of cappuccino or hot chocolate and a wedge of chocolate cake, or a slice of quiche, a restorative visit to this delightful contemporary bakery and café is a must on any visit to Galway.
There’s something very promising about the cardboard cake boxes stacked up in preparation near the door, the staff are super, there’s a great buzz and the food is simply terrific.
What’s more, you don’t even have to be in Galway to enjoy Emer Murray’s terrific baking - contact Goya’s for her seasonal mail-order catalogues “Fabulous Festive Fancies” (Christmas cakes, plum pudding, mince pies etc) and “Easter Delights” (simnel cake and others); wedding cakes also available.
If you’re wondering where to start, why not try a speciality: Goyas, 3-layer chocolate gateau cake.
Seats 56 (outdoor, 20), wheelchair accessible. Open all day Mon-Sat (L 12.30-3). MasterCard, Visa, Laser.
