The Half Door
Denis and Teresa O’Connor’s cottagey restaurant is one of the prettiest and consistently popular in town, and well-known for great seafood. Menus go with the seasons but whatever is available is perfectly cooked and generously served without over-presentation.
An outstanding speciality of the house is the seafood platter, available hot or cold as either a starter or main course with (depending on availability of individual items) lobster, oysters, mussels, Dublin Bay prawns, scallops, crab claws and, all attractively presented and served with garlic or lemon butter. Good traditional puddings or Irish farmhouse cheeses to follow.
