Established in 2008 as La Fantasia and rebranded Tullio's in 2016, Davide Tullio’s deservedly popular restaurant is a cross-cultural culinary gem: the best of Irish enhanced by an engaging Italian who offers authentic cooking in an appealing setting.
The menu is extensive. There are over a dozen starters, many of which can also be ordered as a main course. There are plenty of meat-based pasta dishes, but also no shortage of fish pastas, including a tempting fettuccine pescatora (with squid, monkfish, swordfish, mussels, clams and skipper scallops), and vegetarian pastas too.
The pizza menu ranges from the classic Margherita to a calzone, all in three different sizes. Chicken dishes, fish dishes and steak are also on offer, as well as a number of specials, including a wine of the month.
The staff, who are from Ireland and Italy, are friendly, chatty, efficient and attentive, helping you to enjoy the food and the lovely ambience in a comfortable and inviting space in the heart of Letterkenny.
