Liberty Grill

Liberty Grill is a sister establishment to Café Gusto (Washington Street & Lapps Quay, see entry), so you may expect the same food philosophy based on quality ingredients, where possible organic and locally sourced.

It's situated on the renovated ground floor of an early Victorian block, with menus displayed on a lectern outside the door, and it's an attractive room, with some exposed stonework, darkwood floor and modern designer chairs. Lighting is well designed, and a brilliant white ceiling also reflects light, giving it a bright and spacious atmosphere. Comfortably spaced tables are set up bistro style and a youthful clientele creates a buzz.

Separate menus are offered for brunch, lunch and dinner. The extensive brunch menu is very appealing, especially if you are staying 'room only' in the area. Lunch and dinner menus major in a choice of burgers, steaks (including a vegetarian option) and salads, and fresh fish from the English Market.

A small wine list is offered. Liberty Grill offers real, tasty food and good value in pleasant surroundings.
