Ideally situated on the waterfront, overlooking Lough Atalia, this fine contemporary hotel is more central than its scenic location might suggest, as the shops and restaurants off Eyre Square are only a few minutes walk.
An impressive foyer with unusual sculptures, audacious greenery and a glass-walled lift raise the spirits, and attractive public areas include the Veranda Lounge and a pleasant room in a sunny position looking over the roman-style leisure centre towards Lough Atalia.
This Galway Hotels guest rooms are furnished to a very high standard throughout with excellent bathrooms and facilities; luxurious ‘Level 5’ suites have secure members-only access superb views, individual terraces and much else besides - all of which, plus services such as 3-hour express laundry, make this the ideal business accommodation.

Restaurant Marinas:
The dining experience in this large split-level restaurant has an understandably Scandinavian tone (including a buffet option), but decor in blues and browns is inspired by Lough Atalia and there is a sense of style and confidence about the room that is reflected in capable, friendly service.
An extensive à la carte menu is international in style and flavours, although non-fish eaters will find enduring favourites like chargrilled beef fillet, rack of lamb, and a vegetarian dish such as couscous stuffed bell peppers.
Wheat free and vegetarian dishes are highlighted, and also healthy eating options for guests attending Spirit One spa. But Marinas also offers the less usual option of a Scandinavian style buffet, which is an attractive choice if you are dining early, while everything is fresh.
The best thing about the buffet is the varied selection of marinated salads and vegetables, cold meats, smoked fish, served with a wide choice of condiments and dressings; although some dishes will deteriorate while keeping hot, the buffet is good value and an enjoyable experience in such pleasant surroundings.
The well chosen wine list includes about a dozen wines by the glass and nine half bottles - a boon for business guests dining alone.
The restaurant works equally well next morning for its famous Scandinavian buffet breakfast.
*The Atrium Bar Menu has a more Irish tone, and offers an informal dining option, including a very reasonably priced 4-course buffet lunch.
