Scoffs Restaurant & Uno Cocktail Bar

Just a few minutes walk from the town centre, proprietor-chef Gavin Murphy’s popular two-storey bistro-style restaurant and wine bar in Enniskillen has now been pleasing a wide range of customers for eight years.

Early evening opening and Gavin’s wide-ranging menus - offering everything from inexpensive pastas to more serious (but still moderately priced) ‘dinner’ dishes such as pan fried Blacklion duck breast - partly explain the wide appeal, but consistent cooking, friendly, attentive staff and an atmosphere of relaxed informality are equally attractive.

Although menus may include some choices from afar such as kangaroo, local produce features and there are some interesting vegetarian options and plenty of seafood, usually on the daily specials.

Modern classics like fillet steak with dauphinoise potato, grilled plum tomato & béarnaise sauce are well cooked and stylishly presented, and the only down-side is that side dishes charged extra can add significantly to the cost of a meal.

Seats 147 (private room, 57). D only daily, 4.30-10pm. 2/3 course early bird £16/19 daily 4.30-7pm (to 6 Sat); also á la carte. House wine £13.10; reservations accepted; toilets wheelchair accessible; children welcome. Closed 24-26 Dec. Diners, MasterCard, Visa, Laser.
