The Tasty Tart

After growing up working in her family’s restaurant business, Tara Walker trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and now offers cookery classes from her brand new purpose-built kitchen in the seaside village of Termonfeckin, County Louth.

Tara runs both hands-on and demonstration classes in a fun, informal home atmosphere, where participants can relax with a glass of wine and see how dishes come together. She can also create a bespoke class or demo for private groups and is particularly well known for her Foods of North Africa and the Middle East class.

Tara also carries a small range of speciality foods, such as harissa, preserved lemons and couscous, so that participants can easily buy some of the more hard-to-find ingredients from the classes and make the dishes at home.

Tara also teaches at the Irish Countrywomen’s Association headquarters in An Grianan and at the Fairyhouse Cookery School in County Meath and is available for catering work as well.
