Lough Derg House and The Lake Café

Declan and Fiona are old hands in the food and hospitality of the area and nobody knows better how to combine quality and value - if real home cooking is your style, this is the place.
Open Mar-Oct. Café: Mon Sun, 8.30-5pm. Rooms (all ensuite with shower); B&B about €45-50pps. WiFI, smart TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee tray.Children's playground. Parking. Amex, MasterCard, Visa. abbreviations

Dromineer is one of the Shannon’s most visited places - the harbour is popular with cruisers, anglers and sailing folk alike, it's also a great destination for a day out from Limerick.

And, right beside the harbour at this charming lakeside village, Declan Collison and Fiona Neilan’s super café offers delicious freshly cooked food, tempting homebakes and brilliant Ponaire coffee - roasted locally by Tommy and Jennifer Ryan at Annacotty, Co Limerick, this is real rocket fuel!

Declan and Fiona are old hands in the food and hospitality of the area and nobody knows better how to combine quality and value - if real home cooking is your style, this is the place.

Upstairs there’s very comfortable and accessibly priced accommodation, which was refurbished to a high standard in spring 2019.

Rooms, all with spacious en-suite facilities, have lovely views over Lough Derg, and flat screen TV, WiFi, and tea & coffee making. Outdoor activities, including sailing, kayaking, walking and cycling, are the big attraction here and there's a drying room for wet gear.

Breakfast is served in the café - and it's no wonder that this place quickly becomes home from home for its many fans.
