Clogherhead Prawn Festival - Co Louth

Friday 15th - Sunday 17th July 2011

A weekend festival based around the picturesque fishing village. The weekend boasts many fun activities for all ages. Experience the many activities to be enjoyed around the Irish Sea both in and out of the water.

Water displays include canoe polo, raft races, triathlon, kite surfing on the beach, with rock climbing and pool-diving on the pier among the presence of a range of vessels including the local fleet and other fine vessels.

Plans are also afoot to smash a World Record with participation from everybody required on the beach (to be confirmed).

The evening entertainment will boast excellent live music staged at the harbour, with the Mourne and Cooley Mountains standing majestically in the background.

The village will be buzzing with a carnival atmosphere throughout the weekend. The delicious delicacies of locally-caught and freshly cooked seafood will be available for all to sample.
