Nell Galvin Traditional Music Weekend - Co Clare

Festival to be enjoyed by all the family, young and old, where a friendly welcome is guaranteed. Experience County Clare's traditional music at its best.

The festival was set up to give recognition and belated homage to the late Nell Galvin, a famous Fiddle Player from Moyasta, Kilrush, Co. Clare, who died on 5th September 1961. The festival takes place each year on the first week end of September to coincide with her anniversary.

The event is one of traditional Irish music song and dance and covers a three day period. The event attracts patrons and musicians from all over Ireland, USA, England and many European countries. All artists taking part are considered to be the best in their respective instruments. Over 200 musicians and 2,000 patrons attended last year.
