The Foley family's fine stone house on the edge of the town is is the oldest in Kenmare and set in its own grounds and lovely gardens, well back from the road. Great style and attention to detail are seen throughout: spacious day rooms include an elegant drawing room with plenty of seating, an inviting log fire and interesting books - the feeling is of being a guest in a private country house. Spacious, well-proportioned guest rooms are individually decorated and extremely comfortable; everything (especially beds and bedding) is of the highest quality, and most of the excellent bathrooms have full bath. Breakfast here is an experience not to be missed and, although no evening meals are served, residents are directed to the family's restaurant, Packie's (see entry). Rooms, 9. Tennis.
