Puck Fair - Co Kerry

Saturday 10th - Sunday 12th August 2011

One of Ireland's oldest festivals, the origins of Puck Fair are shrouded in the mists of time. Where else but in Ireland would a wild mountain goat be crowned King Puck? It is a time when old friends meet, new friendships are forged and the cares of everyday living are put on hold for three wonderful days.

Experience the coronation and dethronement ceremonies, the parades, hours of family entertainment, day and night concerts, storytelling, traditional music sessions and dancers, fireworks, the horse fair... and all of it free to everyone.

The carnival atmosphere includes hundreds of street traders from whose stalls one can purchase anything from a needle to an anchor, to a cupcake. Ireland's premier funfair is here. Taste the best of all that is Kerry in the many restaurants and hostelries. All this in the heart of Killorglin.
