With a welcoming turf fire in the restaurant for those chilly days and additional seating in the lovely garden for lunch and early evening meals when the weather is kind, this friendly restaurant at the top of Doolin village has become a favourite destination for a growing number of repeat visitors.
And you don’t have to look far to find out why - aside from being a cheerful and relaxing place with notably friendly and helpful staff, they specialise in simple, well-cooked food at very pocket-friendly prices.
What’s not to like about a steaming bowl of excellent seafood chowder for lunch (served with two kinds of freshly baked bread), for example, or some deliciously fresh and tasty garlic mushrooms with a crisp side salad and big pot of tea – or some of the excellent Ponaire coffee from Limerick, if you prefer?
Evening meals are more extensive of course, but simplicity, good cooking – and good value - remain the sound underlying principles, so everybody goes home happy.
