Leitrim Landscapes Mushroom Foraging Walks

Saturday 21st - Sunday 22nd August 2010

Day 1: enjoy some fantastic views while foraging for mushrooms surrounded by the beautiful North Leitrim Hills.

Day 2: see spectacular views of Lough McNean while hunting for wild mushrooms in the wooded area. See some of the McNean sculpture trail pieces straddling the lake.

Glenfarne is reknowned for its huge variety of wild mushrooms and local guides Tina & Nuala will give you the history of the area including the Ballroom of Romance, Glenfarne Train Staion and the Tottenham Estate.

You'll go home armed with lots of information, cooking tips and maybe even a few precious chanterelle!

Walks are not strenuous and last 3.5 to 4 hours.
