Portlaoise Magnet Music Festival - Co Laois

Friday 29th July - Monday 3nd August 2011

The Magnet Festival Portlaoise will be staged in Portlaoise each August Bank Holiday week-end. This is the third year of Community driven Festival. Founded on the Strategic location of Portlaoise it will fulfil its ambition as a National Festival Centre.

Our sub –title is “The Midlands Switched On”. We will promote at home and abroad. The Festival will champion International, National and Local artists and performers.

This will be coupled to street theatre, session trails, heritage guided tours, antique fair, funfairs a circus, street sports and children’s fun parks. We are coupled to the Van Gogh Festival and Dunamaise Arts Centre.
