Westport Horse Fair - Co Mayo

Westport Horse Fair dates back to 1741.

The Fair takes place on the last Saturday of September each year. The Fair Committee have introduced showing classes, which are held in the morning.

The classes are colt foal, Irish draught filly foal, Irish draught colt foal, sport horse, filly foal sport horse, brood mare, with foal at foot, best turned-out broad mare, best pony foal, colt or filly, best brood mare, pony with foal at foot, best pony, best donkey foal, best donkey, and also a dog show.
