CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT - DUE TO RE-OPEN JUNE 2012


Overlooking the harbour and standing in its own grounds, this attractive quayside establishment is Kinsale’s most famous hotel, dating back to 1946 when it was created from several substantial period houses.


It was sold in recent years and is now in common ownership with The Trident Hotel; following refurbishment the hotel is to operate as before.


A fine Health & Fitness Club offers a swimming pool with separate children’s pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and whirlpool spa; there’s also a gym, aerobics room, solarium and treatment facilities.



Captain’s Table : Good conference/banqueting facilities too (300/250). Rooms 73 (2 junior suites, 14 executive, 1 shower only, 2 for disabled, 50 no smoking); B&B €75 pps, ss €40 (wide range of special breaks available). Children welcome (under 4 free in parents' room, cots available without charge, baby sitting arranged.) No pets. Wheelchair access. Lift. Garden. Captain's Table Restaurant, L&D daily (speciality: the 'Derek Davis' steamed local seafood platter). Bar food available daily, 12-9.30. Closed 24-26 Dec, all Jan. Amex, MasterCard, Visa, Laser.
