Graciously proportioned rooms are beautifully furnished and the spacious bedrooms - which Catherine Gabbett has decorated stylishly - all have antique furniture and every comfort, including lovely bathrooms with bath and overbath shower, and tea/coffee trays.

The house is surrounded by large gardens, with a hard tennis court, croquet lawn - and even a ruined Norman church - for guests’ use. No dinners, but Catherine will direct you to one of several good restaurants within a short drive.

Rooms 3 (all en-suite & no smoking, 2 family rooms); B&B €50 pps, ss €10. Children welcome (under 3s free in parents' room; cot available without charge). Pets allowed by arrangement (stay in bedroom, no charge). Free broadband wifi. Garden, walking, tennis, croquet. Fly fishing, golf and hunting/shooting nearby. Closed Nov-Feb. MasterCard, Visa.
