The Gingerman

In the old Norman area of the city, this hospitable pub is in a pedestrianised lane just off Broad Street. It can be very busy but, at quieter times it's a pleasant place, with welcoming open fires in several bars - and this lovely ambience together with pleasant staff, a good-humoured hands-on owner and a commitment to serving wholesome food has earned The Gingerman a loyal local following. A useful place to drop into for a drink, a cuppa, or a casual bite to eat.
