MBNA LIMERICK INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL WITH THE IRISH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

The MBNA Limerick International Music Festival is now regarded as one of Ireland’s leading music festivals and one of the main summer arts events in the mid-west. It's a national and international platform not only for the Irish Chamber Orchestra, but also for world-renowned artists and young Irish talent.

2009 offered a packed programme of a wide range of orchestral, choral and chamber concerts in the city, alongside a variety of art exhibitions, theatrical shows, family days and for the first time ever, a Festival Club at the adjacent Strand Hotel. The festival is further enhanced by a new city centre hub - the former Franciscan Church on Henry Street.

As always, the Irish Chamber Orchestra is at the very heart of things performing three orchestral concerts over the five days. Joined by a host of international instrumental and singing stars, there was something for everybody at this year's MBNA Limerick International Music Festival.
