Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin

A historic Dublin hotel and popular meeting place that’s constantly busy thanks to comfortable surrounds, welcoming service and a famous traditional bar
Conference/banqueting (350/280). Business centre; secretarial services; video conferencing. Fitness suite. Wheelchair access. Secure multi-storey parking. Rooms 323 (4 suites, 2 junior suites, 96 executive, 60 no-smoking, 3 wheelchair); Children welcome (u12s €40 sharing with parents); Lifts. B&B from about €80pps. Open all year. Amex, Diners, MasterCard, Visa. abbreviations

At the centre of Dublin society since the early nineteenth century, the Gresham has long been one of the favourite Dublin hotels for business and leisure.

Acquired in 2016 by Riu Plaza Hotels and Resorts, with planning permission in place for 120 new rooms and conference facilities, the grand old lady of O'Connell Street is at the beginning of a new era.

A recent makeover had already transformed the ground floor, including the lobby (the Writers' Lounge), a traditional meeting place renowned for its traditional afternoon tea; Toddy's Bar & Brasserie is another popular meeting place and offers the kind of comfortable casual dining that was once the norm but is now increasingly hard to find in this busy city.

Business guests will appreciate the executive bedrooms of this four star hotel, featuring good workspace, complimentary WiFi and interactive TV systems, while leisure guests enjoy neary attractions including The Gate Theatre, the GPO and other museums; the Croke Park stadium is also within walking distance and so is the Temple Bar area, Trinity College and the Grafton Street shopping area, across the river.
