Jamestown is a picturesque little village located next to the River Shannon less than 5 km (3 miles) from Carrick-On-Shannon town. It is a historical village with old town walls and a couple of delightful local pubs. Fishing is a major draw to the area and many fishermen can be observed casting their fly as you enter the village.
