Ballintoy, Co. Antrim

Ballintoy is a picture postcard little village, with a traditional charming harbour and a handful of local shops.

It is a great spot from which to explore the stunning North Antrim coast, taking in scenic drives and exploring White Park Bay nature trail. This is a one mile trail which displays all the local vegetation types and geological features.

Visitors will enjoy a trip to Kinbane Castle which was built in dark basalt in 1547 and includes a two storey gabled tower with excellent views of Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre.

Local fishermen will readily take angling enthusiasts on fishing trips, past Sheep Island, which is a perpendicular stack of rocks with a flat grass top half a mile offshore.
