Killaloe

Killaloe - At the southern end of Lough Derg - a handsome inland sea set in an attractive blend of mountain and hillside, woodland and farm - Killaloe straddles the Shannon with two townships - Ballina in Tipperary on the east bank, and Killaloe in Clare, with the ancient cathedral across the river to the west.

The Killaloe area is steeped in history and is an ideal base for the outdoor enthusiast and those interested in touring one of Ireland’s most beautiful regions. Killaloe is an open-air watersports playground with fun for all ages - cruising, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, fishing, canoeing and raft building.
