Lisnaskea Water Festival - Co Cavan

Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th July 2009

The Festival will be launched in Enniskillen on Friday evening, 3rd July, at 8.00p.m with a procession of bands, beauty queen entrants, stilt walkers and fancy dress going from The Ardhowen Theatre to The Killyhevlin Hotel, where the carnival atmosphere will continue involving highland dancers, harpists and line dancers. The evening will end with a Fireworks Display.

A Fishing competition will kick off the festivities on Saturday, the selection of Fermanagh Entrants to the Lady of the Erne Beauty Pageant will take place at the Boat Club, Derryadd Quay that evening along with a dance and presentation of fishing competition awards.

Sunday will be a fun packed day of activities for all the family ranging from free boat trips on the River Erne, tours of Inis Rath Island, canoe lessons for beginners and trips for experts to face painting, bouncy castles and a water based treasure hunt. A variety of music will be provided all day along with food and dancing.
