Although the Strand Road restaurant closed in early 2026 ,the original street food concept is still alive and doing very well on the quayside, where the Pyke'n'Pommes POD - 'Decky' as they call it - is a heated double-decker bus with tables, comfortable seating and some outdoor seats as well. A converted shipping container kitchen beside it also serves a takeaway menu - you may have to queue at times, but the burgers are equally good (and very good value) and it's a lovely setting on the banks of the River Foyle, with a little marina nearby.Moore on the Quay’s location couldn’t be more fitting – suitably nautical overlooking the boats of Foyle Marina, and right next door to Pyke ‘N’ Pommes’ street food bus and shipping container.
With its battle cry of 'LOCAL.LOCAL.LOCAL Produce, organic when possible' and excellent cooking, Pykes'n'Pommes lives up to its promise of 'Making our city taste better'. And alongside Pyke'n'Pommes you'll find one of Kevin Pyke's valued local suppliers at Moore on the Quay - where fishmonger Brendan Moore champions local fish, including supplies from the Foyle Fisherman’s Co-op in nearby Greencastle.
