Wexford Opera Festival

The Festival is widely considered to be Ireland's most prestigious cultural event. Now entering a landmark 60th season, it is admired all over the world for presenting rare and neglected opera productions.

In addition to three main stage productions the programme also features a superb range of short operas, concerts and recitals. There is also an eclectic mix of events which take place during a vibrant Fringe Festival.

The festival has a new home at the fantastic and inspiring new Wexford Opera House (opened in 2008) and this has added a further unique dimension to the experience.

Wexford Festival Opera continues to deliver a rare experience to visitors from all around the world and one which is delivered with a sense of warmth, festivity and fun. Early booking for all events is essential. Priority booking for Festival Friends commences in May 2011. General booking opens in June 2011.
