Halloween at Bunratty Folk Park - Co Clare

Visitors can expect to be once again frightened and scared by the Creepy Crypt in the Basement of Bunratty Castle. Characters such as Dracula, Frankenstein and Freddie Kruger and other spooky Monsters will lie in waiting ready to greet you.

Join in the Halloween fun and games at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park. This fun filled day for all the family includes children’s fancy dress competition, face painting, Halloween games and much more!

A magician will perform shows throughout the afternoon, displaying an array of magical tricks to impress even the most accomplished witches and warlocks.

New this year will be the visit to the Loop Head Farmhouse, Shannon Farm House and West Limerick farm houses where you will be met by Witches telling scary stories while they boil and cast spells over their cauldrons. Also have your fortune told by the resident fortune teller and see some magic tricks performed by the roving magician. Come and join the séance and learn what secrets are revealed….

The highlight of the afternoon will be the fancy dress competition and Prizes galore will be awarded to the children whose costumes are adjudicated to be most in keeping with the theme of the day. Whilst the children are getting into the ‘spirit’ of things, parents will have an opportunity to enjoy traditional Irish music on the Village Street, or they can revel in the sights of the Folk Park such as milk separating and butter making.
