Cahersiveen Festival of Music & The Arts - Co Kerry

Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th August 2012

This annual festival held every August Bank Holiday weekend in Cahersiveen, Co Kerry is a well established family focussed festival.

The programme offers a wide range of events targeted at all age groups. From trad music sessions to live stage bands, a spectacular fireworks display, sheaf throwing, busking competition, kayaking etc. There is a huge range of events for children including teddy bears’ picnic, street entertainment, puppet shows, bouncy castles, face painting etc.

The festival aims to promote the history, culture and beauty of the Iveragh peninsula. It offers guided walks of areas of outstanding natural beauty and historical interest. Traditional Irish music and dance are also key elements of the festival. Live music is enjoyed by all each evening on festival stage. Overall, the festival is a jam packed weekend catering for all ages and interests.
